5 Reasons to hire an IT Support Company

You need IT Support.

This is not negotiable, and you know it.

IT problems can strike at any time.  What happens if your webstore goes down in the middle of the night?  Or if your customer database crashes 2pm Friday of a long weekend?  In truth, there is no opportune time for IT downtime.   Unless you’re a tattoo artist or a hairdresser, extended wait times and missed appointments do not improve your ‘rep’.

You can’t afford to wait for a problem to occur before you look for IT support.  It’s critical to your business to have IT support in advance so a problem is caught when or, even, before it happens.

You have two choices.  You can either hire someone as a member of your staff to handle your IT support or hire a local IT support company.
Here are 5 reasons to hire an IT Support Company.  And none of those reasons is that we offer it.
That would be reason 12 or 15… and you don’t have that much time to dedicate to this newsletter…

Difficulty keeping up with technology.

Technology changes fast.  Very fast.  How much luck have you had keeping up with it?  Now imagine being in charge of keeping your IT people up to date.  Now… imagine letting someone who has been trained in IT dedicate their time to doing that.  Which scenario seems more conducive to a sane mind and a healthy business?

How is your time management?

The real question here is would you like to increase the time you spend managing the areas you understand and excel in?  Would you like an IT company to worry about keeping the technical side running?  Unless you’re an IT company yourself, hiring an outside IT Support company is probably the easiest way to improve time management and allow you to manage what you manage best: your company.

How many IT support people can you afford to hire?

Probably one, or maybe two.  How about a whole team?  Probably not.  But that’s just what you get when you hire an IT support company.  Your personal IT support team.  That’s a whole team of professionals that focus and solve whatever problem you have… asap.  Sounds nice, doesn’t it?

How important is the data you have saved?

Well you’re storing it.  This is your office not your home, so we’re guessing your servers aren’t just filled with your amateur poetry.   (Though if it is we’re sure it’s brilliant.)

We don’t know about everyone else… but we offer 100% restoration of data.  Yes.  So all your important projects, contracts – everything – is insured.  And we’re not going to read your poetry.  Even if you ask.

Do you like getting more for your money?

How many upgrades are there per year? How about new viruses? Now how much do you think it would cost to keep your IT guy aware and trained on every new piece of technology or prepared for each new virus?  A lot – that is – if you were actually able to keep that IT guy up to date with all that.
How an IT support company can help you get the most for your money: IT support companies pour their resources into training and updating their staff.  The cost for maintaining top quality protection is shared by the companies they protect.   So you get premium protection without the premium price.

How a company handles the glitch determines how their reputation survives it.  Consider your options.  Then choose the path that best protects you and keeps you up and running.

Steps to Integrative Thinking:

The key to integrative thinking is your ability to generate creative solutions to everyday problems. Outstanding leaders think in new ways to create a vision of the future. Integrative thinking is a skill that can be learned and practiced by implementing the following techniques:

• Always believe that there is a better way of doing things. If a solution does not exist for a problem, design it!

• Welcome ambiguity. Uncertainty means that there is an opportunity that can be exploited.

• Give yourself time to think and create. New and better insights require thought and reflection.

• Don't be afraid of conflict and debate; encourage it! Logic, reasoning and discussion will create superior solutions.

Focus on being an integrative thinker this week!
